Help Ally Become a Nurse

Hey there. My name is Anne, and I have a friend name Ally.
She has been my friend for a long time, and we used to work together at the SPCA Animal Emergency Hospital. We worked some tough days together, and some tough nights, since we would often work the overnight shifts. I got along with her right away, to be honest. I think one of the first things she said to me was she was a Hufflepuff. My house was Griffindor, so we knew we would get along just fine. When I first started at the SPCA, I was going through a difficult growing point in my life and that's when she really stepped up for me. She was my Supervisor at the job at the time, and was very patient with me and found creative ways to remind me of my own self-worth. She became a close friend ever since that. Even after we both moved on to other jobs.
I've seen her working with every type of person that would walk through those hospital doors. Sometimes in the worst moments of their lives. I've watched her advocate for people and devote everything she had to help someone who had limited resources. As her colleague, I think I've learned more from her interactions with clients and their patients than I have learned anything at any other job.
I've known she had been interested in nursing school since I met her. I think once she became responsible for taking care of her mom, with no help from anyone, did it reignite that passion for it. She told me it was because she admired the nurses who helped her with her mom, and wanted to be that for other people.
Taking care of your family by yourself is really difficult, but she handled it better than I ever could have.
I admire Ally a lot. And I speak for a group of us who know her that she deserves to chase her goals and she would make one HELL of a nurse.
She works for non-profits and takes side jobs dog and cat sitting. She works overtime a lot, and since we live in the San Francisco Bay Area, a whole lot of money doesn't get you very far.
We encouraged her to apply for nursing school and she did!
She prepared for a 4 hour entrance exam and completed everything in 2 hours, with a 96% average across the board && SHE GOT IN!
Celebrating her getting into school! ^^
She is meant for this.
But an accelerated education in nursing is not only expensive but intensive. She can't work a full-time job at the same time if she wants to do this successfully. She also doesn't qualify for FAFSA.
She is doing everything she can, including applying for scholarships, seeking out financial advisory and other things like private funding. To pay for school is a whole $90,000 in total. I figure a 10k start would be attainable and help her out in a combination of that.
She is an amazing person, who works hard, picks up those around her, shows empathy, and actually gives a shit about you.
She has been there for me and so many others in their time of need, so we want to do the same for her.
Anything helps. Thank you!
