I moved to Tacoma because I thought life was going bad and I saw an opportunity.
It's time to admit I made a mistake. I tried my hardest, but I'm at even more risk here than I was in Chicago.
I've made a Facebook post detailing the moral and emotional reasons I need to leave, but financially I've been screwed. Yesterday, I learned my job had budgeted so poorly for my program that there was less that $6000 left for 6 people. They had already been making getting livable hours a pain and now I know there was no intention of this ever being livable. Add that I get paid once a month and I'm in a lot of danger.
My housing situation has been stressful so I've already made the decision to move back. However, my landlord is deciding to sell the house after my lease ends, so if I don't make this work, I will be homeless again. I also worry I won't get my security deposit back.
I'm stressed. I'm being stretched thinner and thinner. I fucked up and want to go home. And I need help.
The $1200 will help pay for the next 2 months rent, a flight back to Chicago and other moving expenses. I am already working to have an apartment and job lined up for when I get back.
In the absolute worse case scenario, this will cover everything I need to get to back in addition to my paycheck. Any leftovers or extra donations will be used as savings.
