In 2009, high school honor student and competitive equestrian Allison Angove was catastrophically injured in a horseback riding accident. Doctors gave her only a 10% chance to live, but 2.5 years (over one of which she spent in a coma) and 15 surgeries later, she beat the odds. Since that day nearly 10 years ago, with the diagnosis of quadriplegia and traumatic brain injury, Allison has progressed to speaking words and simple sentences, and showing slight movement in her legs.
This improvement has not come without fierce determination from Allison and her team of therapists—and financial strain for her dedicated parents, Terri and Grant. Yet everyone has faith that Allison CAN and WILL continue to improve. Unfortunately, last year, Allison’s insurance company determined that she has reached her lifetime limit on physical therapies and medical equipment—the very resources she needs to continue her journey toward recovery.
PLEASE DONATE to this fund to help offset the costs of physical therapy sessions and medical equipment. With them, Allison will continue her road to recovery. Without them, she stands to lose everything she’s fought so hard to regain. Allison has faith and she has fight, but she needs YOU to help her take the next step.
Thank you!
