On Sunday, August 3rd, my daughter Allison Hunt — who many of you know as “The tall girl” from Little Italy — was in a very serious car accident. She suffered a burst fracture of her lumbar vertebrae, in other words, a broken back. She had to undergo major spinal surgery at Albany Med.

Allison is one of the most hardworking and independent people we know. Recently, she bought her first home and a new car. Now, through no fault of her own, she’s facing a long road to recovery while juggling all the responsibilities and bills that don’t pause for life’s unexpected turns.

Many friends and family have already asked, “What can we do to help?” This GoFundMe is simply one way to come together and ease some of the burdens so Allison can focus on healing, not worrying.
