Please help Allison Compete at the Jr National Championships

Hello, my name is Allison Carman, and I’m a junior at Port Jervis Senior High School in Port Jervis, NY. I’m a three-sport athlete competing in soccer, wrestling and track, but wrestling has truly become my passion and a big part of my purpose. I began wrestling last year with my school’s Varsity Girls Wrestling Team and instantly fell in love with the sport.

After a breakout Junior season, I advanced to the NY Girls State Wrestling Championships and NEARLY made the podium (I went 2-2, finishing in the top 8) and have been so determined to just get better. In addition to working really hard at my academics (I have a 3.6 GPA) and working 20 hours a week at my part time job, I have been training really hard in the off season, improving my skills, attending and participating in various wrestling clubs and clinics and balancing my training with my academics, athletics, volunteering, my part time job and taking care of my responsibilities and obligations at home.

This past weekend, I competed in the NY Girls Freestyle State Championships, and with tremendous excitement, I advanced to the State Finals, earning a silver medal and solidifying a spot on the NY State Girls Freestyle National Team that will be participating at the prestigious Junior National Girls Wrestling Championships in Fargo, North Dakota in July! This has been a dream of mine since joining the sport of wrestling and after all the sacrifices, compromises and all the tears that I have shed, I am so excited that all my hard work is starting to pay off!

However, as a full-time student and part-time employee at a local restaurant, I am seeking donations to help cover my roundtrip travel expenses to North Dakota, hotel costs, meals, transportation, equipment and tournament fees for the National Tournament. Every contribution—big or small—will help me reach this incredible goal and continue to chase my wrestling dreams. This opportunity will also showcase my skills to college coaches that will be there recruiting as I am going into my senior year of High School and would like to further my education and wrestling career.
