Hi there. My name is Allison, and my wife Britt and I have been having a lot of car troubles. We have a daughter who starts school in 2 weeks so we feel like our backs are against the wall.

To start, we paid off our Hyundai Elantra over 2 years ago. Well, 2 months afterwards the transmission blew on it which we didn’t know was a common occurrence.

Then we did a lease on a dodge van … no warranty and the head gasket blew on it after 3 months.

Same time frame, my wife’s grandmother gave us a car and we took care of it and loved it til the bitter end. Long story short, it was a ‘93 so she gave up after a while with us.

Now, not too long ago we purchased a ‘96 Toyota from an older lady. We have put time, money, effort, blood and tears into this thing. The passenger window doesn’t work, it’s taped up and has been. Now it’s sitting because the key won’t turn fully in the ignition. We just about give up.

I have picked up many extra shifts at work, my wife has been a chauffeur, a babysitter and has been running her own business to try and keep us afloat.

We’re just looking for enough to help with a down payment to get our family in a reliable, safe vehicle.
