Help Allie Morasch fight GIST!

Allie has been diagnosed with GIST cancer.   It is an extremely rare cancer and even more rare when it happens in children.   :(   The leading doctors who specialize in GIST only see's 3-4 cases per year and is located at the children's hospital in Boston.  While the cancer is not curable, the goal of the surgery is to help Allie maintain a normal life and hopefully live for decades.  

The surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital, they believe the surgery would be 4-12 hours, depending on what they find and if there is any spread to other organs or her lymphatic system. Most likely, they will take the 3-4 larger tumors and leave the smaller tumors. They will do a more thorough analysis on them to gain even more information. She would be in the hospital for 7-10 days and then stay in Boston an additional 3 weeks, so it would require about a month stay. 

Obviously, this is really sad news and we feel terrible that this little girl will have to live with this. The family is processing all this news and will let us all know as soon as there is an update.
