Hi everyone! My name is Allie. I am a 35-year-old nanny to two wonderful kids. I am a very active person and love to be in the gym, run and do anything that moves my body.

Six weeks ago, I ruptured my ACL playing tennis and the aftereffects have been devastating. The MRI confirmed the prognosis and the doctor says surgery is the only option if I want to get back to anywhere near where I was. I was two weeks away from running my first marathon in almost 10 years and was feeling incredibly ready. I have had to cancel multiple things and it's all just truly so hard to manage some days. Since the injury I have had to take a huge step away from the gym and running and as you can guess it's been mentally difficult to be away from something that brings me so much peace and joy. Due to my insurance, I am unable to completely cover the cost of this much-needed surgery. I feel like I have been doing everything I can do and looking into every option available but with almost no progress. I am honestly just at a loss and any help would be great.

I am no longer feeling like myself since the injury and really want to get back to being the active person I was in the gym and especially at work with the kids. Working out and being the best nanny I can be has always been my saving grace and the two things I love so much. Anything helps right now and please know from the bottom of my heart how grateful I am for the support. There are truly no words that can express how much it means to me.
