Help Allendale Elementary Start a Band!

Allendale Elementary School in Melvindale, Michigan, wants to start a band. We have had many people donate instruments, but need to fundraise to buy more and to repair some of the instruments people have donated. Here is Angelo Resendez's original post:

"I am a music teacher and Band director at Allendale Elementary School in Melvindale, MI. While many of our students want to participate in the Band program, the reality is that they are financially unable to do so.

I am asking for instruments to be donated to our school's Band program. Maybe you have had an old instrument sitting in your basement for the past several years. Rather than selling it for a small amount, consider donating it. This generous donation would allow the students at my school to take part in something that can create a lifetime of memories and positive experiences. Personally, I would not be where I am if I was not able to use a school owned instrument during my elementary, middle, and high school years. I hope you will consider this incredibly kind gesture. I realize that this is asking a lot from the community."
