Aloha, my name is Michael Newman (Olivia's boyfriend). I am fundraising for Olivia's father, Allen Crabtree, who suffered a severe burn injury.

 

On Wednesday, April 13 Allen was burned by a cooking fire. The lighter fluid can he was holding exploded and caused traumatic second and third-degree burns to over 30% of his body. He was immediately air transported to Straub Burn Center on another island to treat the burns on his face, neck, chest, arm, and legs. He has been sedated since the accident to mitigate further injury and pain.  He will be in the hospital for severals week to over a month because of the severity of the burn.

 

Allen is the family's primary provider and has dedicated so much of his life, time, and energy to us. He is giving and always puts others before himself. Let's give back to someone who is always giving to us.

 

The road to recovery will be long, and I am asking for your help to pay for medical bills, transport, travel for family, and other family living expenses. If you know Allen personally, please DO NOT MENTION the donations to him because he doesn't like to ask others for favors even during difficult times. Let's surprise him and let him know how much we all care for him.
