Hello, my name is Allen and I'm fund raising to move into a more hospitable environment for both myself and my two cats, Noctis and G'raha Tia. I've been living in this hell hole for three years and it's gotten progressively worse in that time.
There is constantly homeless and drug users breaking into the building and camping out in the public bathrooms, which result in them getting broken to the point we don't have working showers or toilets. At present we have two working showers and four working bathrooms. One of those two showers has a door that isn't broken and actually locks. One of the four bathrooms has a door that locks and isn't broken. The bathrooms 'look' new paint wise but they just paint over the black mold that's presently on the ceilings of all the public showers.
The wiring is so terrible that I can't run my microwave half the time, let alone heating or cooling when it's needed because my neighbor uses the power so much that it flips the breaker constantly.
In just the last few weeks, a homeless person kicked down my door to break into what they thought was an empty apartment; much like the other actual empty apartments that now do not have doors to them, and the security that was suppose to be working did nothing.
This place had advertised that they had no pests, and the entire three years I've been here, I've had to suffer through bed bugs, cockroaches and mice.
I've currently got prospective apartments and job opportunities that I'm actively applying to in Seattle where the quality of life is better than the present town I live in three hours away. Right now the costs that I'm expecting to spend is $3000, but I have most of it thanks to taxes and stimulus check savings, but I need to cover the rest of the costs plus make sure I have enough to be able to feed myself until I start working.
How expenses are going to be used:
About $1831 roughly is going to be spent on rent, deposit, the application process and the fees that come with owning cats.
$320 of it will be spent on moving fees. I have no means of transportation and no one was willing to help move me, so I am currently relying on being able to get an Uber that's willing to take the ride. It's a long shot, but its the only option I have for what little I'm going to be taking with me.
The rest is going to any additional expenses and bills that likely will occur, buying necessities and replacing things; bed and microwave, that I'm going to need at present.
The sooner that I can save and get this processed, the better as I am presently still paying rent to this monstrosity of an apartment and the more that I end up spending the less that I'm going to have to move with.
