Help Allen Martin's Family in Their Time of Loss

This is not something in a million years I thought I'd ever have to make... Before asking for any donations, I want to first ask for prayers for our children and myself during this tragic time. Unfortunately, my husband, and the father and step-father of 6 children, passed away unexpectedly yesterday. He had no life insurance, as my employer's life insurance denied coverage this year due to his current medical problems. We are asking for donations towards his funeral expenses. Any and all help will be very greatly appreciated.

Yesterday afternoon, on May 17, 2025, our oldest son Dakota found my husband, Allen Martin, deceased. Allen and I had been in the process of a divorce, so he had been getting a camper ready to move to stay in at a friend's until he could find an affordable rental.

We hadn't heard from him, which was very odd. Before leaving to go to town, we decided someone needed to check and make sure he was okay since he hadn't been answering his phone...

My daughter, Naveah, tried to bang on the door to get him to come to it. However, when he didn't, my son Dakota tried to wake him up through a small window in the camper that was open next to the bed, soon realizing he was not waking up when he tried to shake the part of his leg he could reach.

I walked outside and asked Dakota if his dad was awake or what he was doing... His face told it all in that moment...

I went to the same small window Dakota had been trying to shake him through and immediately I knew... but still in my head thought if I could just get inside, maybe I could do CPR or anything... I just couldn't reach to get into the window... screaming hysterically for Naveah to bring me a chair or anything to reach through the window... Once I got on the chair and could see more... it was obvious...

Still... I wanted to get inside... I couldn't fit through the window... so Dakota tried to punch through the glass to the door of the camper and failed... I was handed a heavy pipe but with all of the shaking couldn't break the door... Dakota took the pipe from me and with one swing full of adrenaline was able to bust through... He got the door unlocked and opened and immediately stepped back from the odor... he was GONE...

Allen and I spent the past 11 1/2 years together. We had our struggles, but he was an amazing man and friend to all. He would have given the shirt off his back to anyone.

He had his battles, which we had been working tirelessly to try to fix, ultimately leading to our separation... but the love was ALWAYS there... The love this man had for me was something I will never experience again in this lifetime. He was my absolute best friend and would have protected me from absolutely anyone in this world who dared try to hurt me. Unfortunately, his struggle with alcoholism led to our separation.

He was a hard-headed man who had extremely high blood pressure and just would not take his medication like he was supposed to. That, mixed with the stress of our separation and alcohol, we just don't know what happened.

My initial fear was suicide; however, after the investigation was finished, I was informed that it was more likely a heart attack or stroke. I have asked that they do an autopsy because our children and I have to know...

Anyone who knew Allen knew he was the most hardworking man! He loved his family with his entire heart, he was generous, funny, and protected his family from all harm.

These next few months will be some of the hardest days, weeks, and months his children and I will have to experience in our lives. I ask for grace for each of us as we gather ourselves but mostly ask for continued prayers as this is going to be an extremely long journey...
