Ford Corkscrew Fire Destroyed Allan's Home
Hello, we are the family of Allan, who has lost his home and pretty much everything he has in the Ford Corkscrew Fire that ravaged the hills northwest of Spokane. Allan was only made aware of the fire hours before evacuating and left with his pets and very few possessions.
Our goal is to help Allan recover by fundraising for:
•Clearing the debris of his old house.
•Building a new house or purchasing a mobile home to replace his home.
•Helping with basic furnishings so that he can get his life back together.
•Reparing and restoring wells, electric, and septic.
•Incedentail expenses such as transportation, gas, lost tools, etc.
Allan has spent close to twenty years living on this property with his parents (his place was located about 300 feet down a small hill from his parent’s house) when the unthinkable happened. In the course of a few hours, Allan was instructed to evacuate and hope for the best. Instead, the worst happened. Allan has battled disability and migraine headaches for years, and the news of his home being obliterated by fire has been a source of unimaginable stress to him and his family. His parents, an elderly couple, also live on the land and are literally praying for a miracle at this point.
Allan never imagined coming back to his home being a pile of wood and ashes, but that was the scene that was shown to him by his sister when she went to look at the property. Everything, from his truck to his old airstream camper, to his house that he had purchased from his grandfather was gone. His possessions and savings have been erased from existence.
Sadly, Allan did not have fire insurance on his home.
It is our goal to see Allan recover and move back into his home and start his life once again. Allan is not trying to replace everything and knows that it would be nearly impossible to do so. We know that there are many people out there who desire to help someone recover, and even a small donation helps a lot. If Allan can get enough to get something that he can live in and begin his life anew, he would be very grateful. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Josh, Beverly & The Oakes/Scholl Families
