The funds raised are helping cover the many medical and healing-related expenses Allan is facing during this season. These include the placement of his PICC line, IV antibiotics and medications, and all necessary PICC line supplies. Donations also help with wound care supplies for ongoing bandage changes, weekly home health visits for blood draws and line care, and regular doctor appointments. In addition, funds are being used for nutritional support such as Juven and protein shakes to aid in healing, as well as any unexpected medical or recovery-related costs that arise.

Because Allan is unable to work during this time, we are also facing lost income. Short-term disability has not yet begun and, once it does, will only replace a portion of his pay. He has already missed two weeks of work and is expected to miss at least six more as he focuses on healing.
