My name is Marina, and I’m the owner of All Nail’d Up LLC, a small business that I’ve built from the ground up, running everything solo as a true one-woman show. I never received any grants or government support, and I’ve relied on the kindness of my wonderful clients, friends, and family to keep going. Alongside All Nail’d Up LLC, I also manage another venture, pouring my heart into both.
Right now, I’m facing one of the toughest seasons yet. The slow season has hit hard, and with a sick kiddo at home, bad weather, dangerous road conditions, and school closings, I’ve had to keep my doors closed since Friday. Despite not being able to work, the bills keep coming—car payments, insurance, cell phone bills, business license, and personal property taxes are all due, and I’m falling further behind. Childcare costs are another challenge, as I have to pay ahead of time even if my child can’t attend. Groceries are running low, and debt from previous years of trying to keep up and buy supplies for my shop has added up.
Client safety is my top priority before reopening. With so many people still iced in their driveways and slippery conditions causing a lot of falls, I want to make sure everyone stays safe before I open my doors again. Even after reopening, there’s a chance I might have to close the rest of the week with more bad weather coming our way. I’m doing everything I can to get back on my feet by spring or summer. Anything helps, whether it’s a donation or purchasing something I’ve made—watercolor cards, homemade sugar scrubs, cuticle oils, or even baked goods. I’m deeply grateful for any support during this difficult time. Thank you for helping me keep my business and family afloat, and for believing in the power of community and kindness.
