Help 16 Kuwaiti rescued dogs finally go home

Hello,

I am Elika Mansouri, founder of iCare Kuwait animal rescue group. We have currently over 80 rescued dogs that need to find their forever homes. We work day and night to make life easier for these dogs that have been abandoned, neglected, injured, and nearly poisoned in the past.

We have currently one helper, zero volunteers (aside from myself), and the summer heat is getting worse. We have frequent power outage which makes it so difficult to keep the shelter safe for the dogs. Our location is 98 Km out of the city in order to lessen any hassle for the neighbours. Due to our far location, we have no volunteers willing to commute daily to the shelter. At this moment, we cannot rescue any new case until we have made some space available. In the past year, our local adoption rate has been extremely low (3 local adoptions).

We finally got 16 dogs approved by 2 major rescue groups in Montreal and Qatar airways flight! They are ready to finally join their families. 4 are already sponsored plus half of the passenger ticket (me). We still need to raise funds for the remaining 12 dogs plus my return flight back to Kuwait.

Average cost of return flight back to Kuwait: 450 KD (1890 CAD) high due to holiday

Each dog crate for Qatar airways: 107 KD (450 CAD) x 12 = 1284 KD (5400 CAD)

Transport to Kuwait Airport and Porter in Canada = 200 KD (840 CAD)

I am willing to cover the vetting, documentation, and the cost of the crates which is also over 300 KD but I need everyone's support to make this dream trip happen for these rescued dogs.

Each of these 16 dogs has been rescued from a very harsh fate, most of them from being poisoned. We have taken care of them for over a year now and they need to finally say goodbye to shelter cage life and say hello to their homes and families.
