Help Alkaios Recover from His Sudden Injury

Hi, my name is Sio, and I'm reaching out for help with my baby kitty, Alkaios. He's just 1 year and 8 months old (born April 24, 2024), and recently suffered an unexpected injury to his rear right leg on Friday (December 19th).

What Happened

Alkaios suddenly injured his rear right leg, and what seemed like a simple injury has become increasingly complicated. We've made four veterinary visits in a short time:

- Two emergency room visits

- Two regular vet appointments

Each visit has required new medications and testing as we try to understand what's happening and help him heal.

Current Situation

While Alkaios is showing improvement in some areas, he's declining in others. Most concerning is that he's unable to urinate on his own, which has led to emergency trips to prevent the dangerous consequences of urinary retention. We're still unsure if his emergency visits are over, and each day brings new worries about his condition.

Why I'm Asking for Help

I wasn’t able to get pet insurance for Alkaios prior to this accident because I'm currently not working due to my own medical conditions. Our family has also experienced multiple losses recently, making an already difficult financial situation even tighter.

The veterinary bills are mounting with each visit, new medication, and test. I'm doing everything I can to give Alkaios the care he needs, but the financial stress is overwhelming—especially when I'm already worried sick about his health day to day.
