Hello my name is Alize Verdugo on April 6th 2025 as our family was coming back home from celebrating my 18th birthday, we arrived home to devasting house fire that has left us displaced and overwhelmed. What a way to start my 18th birthday right? This home has been my childhood home my mother’s childhood home so many memories this home holds my grandparents bought this house 39years ago and its devastating to see it all gone. Unfortunately, we did have some tragic loss of my cat and my uncles two dogs no one was home at the time so where thankful for that- but the road ahead is long and unexpected challenges.

We are currently working through the insurance process, but as many who have gone thru this know, there are countless out-of-pocket expenses that are not covered. From temporary housing gaps, lost wages, meals, clothing, and basic needs, to long term rebuilding efforts and emotional recovery. So I am helping my 61yr old grandmother with this go fund me so we can cover some of those cost.
