I'm Alix, a 26 year-old trans woman from France!

I started a medical transition in February of 2021, although my "gender journey" began a long time ago, as I I have been questioning my identity since my early teenage years.

Unfortunately, despite my early questioning, I did not have, at the time, access to information & resources that would have helped me figure out I was trans and that transitioning was a possibility. Because of that, I went through a so-called "male puberty", up until this year.

This has inevitably given me some masculine attributes that I am desperate to get rid of today - not only because they cause me to experience gender dysphoria, which can at times be paralyzing, but also because they make me feel less safe in a world where transphobia is still extremely prevalent. For my own safety and comfort, it has become vital for me to access both laser hair removal and facial feminization surgery.

Of course, both of these procedures cost a lot of money, and as a college student living in social housing, they're hardly accessible to me currently, and I doubt they would be for a long, long time. Time I can't exactly afford to wait.

This is why I'm asking for help today. Any amount is a step towards a happier future for me.
