Help Alivia Hill Recover From Lamb Loss

Donation protected
UPDATE:

I wanted to note a couple of things here. First of all, thank you to every generous donor! Your support is incredible!
Second, I wanted to point out that even though Alivia was not able to participate in Saturday's lambshow, she continued helping her brother through preparing his lamb, and others all morning/day of the lambshow. She kept her head up and smile on her face and was a great help to others!

Third, her parents wanted to say this-
Great Big Thank You to everyone who so generously helped Alivia!
She definitely feels loved and supported from you all.

And lastly, I know Alivia would like to say thank you to each individual person who donated, but she does not know each person, if you donated and are able to email me a mailing address, that would be fantastic! And again, thank you!

I've been a 4H leader for 22 years now and have had the pleasure to have seen a lot of kids come up through the 4H program. This program teaches kids many things beyond specific project education. It teaches responsibility, discipline, hard work, and more. Unfortunately, it also teaches hard lessons. With less than 3 weeks to go until the lamb show, one of our 4H members learned a hard lesson Monday night, when - due to a freak accident - the lamb died. Their family did not have a backup lamb. Due to the short period of time until the lamb show, there is not a route to getting another backup lamb, as we were willing to offer ours.

This is a family well known to the Glide area. The lamb belonged to Alivia Hill, whose family owns and operates the 138 Grill in Glide, and has always been a tremendous supporter of all sorts of Glide youth activities, including 4H and FFA kids. I suggested to the family that if they were able to get me a total of the expenses that Alivia had into her lamb thus far, I would be happy to head up a fundraiser to try to help her recoup some of her expenses into this year's market lamb project. Her lamb weighed 126 lbs as of Monday night and was being raised along with her brother's lamb. After having her project for the last few months, her expenses were over $1,200.

Thank you for your interest, and a donation if possible.
