Help Alithea with Living Expenses

Hey friends! Thank you for taking the time to look at my fundraiser.

My name is Alithea and I’m a tattoo artist in Austin, Texas. I’ve been tattooing for about 1.5 years and it has been tough on me financially, especially over the past 6 months. Overall, the tattoo industry has been quite slow, especially for a newer artist like me. Which leads me to this difficult topic of conversation…

I’ve gotten extremely behind on my bills over the last 6 months and am reaching out for help. It’s tough for me to talk about, but my finances are extremely suffering and I’m reaching out as a last resort. I have had to use any money I have earned for unexpected car troubles which has really set me back, leaving me without a phone for the past week. I am 3 months behind on all of my bills, and now my animal’s food/supplies are dangerously low. I’m normally a very independent and private person, however, my current circumstances require vulnerability.

Prior to tattooing I was in the Air Force and transitioned out in 2019 to become a barbershop manager. My prior occupation afforded me a predictable routine with a steady paycheck. Although this is definitely something I could use at this time, I had found myself feeling incomplete. Becoming a tattoo artist helped me fill the void. However, the fluctuating demand within the tattoo industry is very unpredictable. Please don’t misunderstand, I LOVE being a tattoo artist. The freedom and fulfillment it has provided me through artistic expression is a blessing. I love meeting new people and sharing my art, I just wish it was more steady and predictable.

Painting is how I started and there are so many artistic ventures I plan on pursuing. Which brings me back to the very difficult and humbling purpose for having created this page. As previously stated, my finances are spiraling out of control and I could really use some help. Any monies donated would be GREATLY appreciated.

Keep in mind, I’ll be starting a new job soon, but until then I have fur babies depending on me. Misty (my dog), Forrest Gump and Aku (my cats) are my little family in a very lonely world and keeping them safe, fed, and happy are one of my top priority.
