Help Alison rebuild her life after the fire.

On Friday, September 17, 2021, Alison Thomason came home to her rental house in Carbondale, CO in flames. Thankfully, she and her daughter and dog were not home at the time. Unfortunately, Alison did not have renters’ insurance. Alison is a single mom with a beautiful daughter, Elise. She has lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for 25 years and has contributed to this community that she loves. The outpouring of support with offers of furniture and clothes has been amazing but she also needs some funds to help her find a new place to live so she is able to put down first, last and deposit and we all know how tough it is to find affordable housing especially with a dog. She will also need some extra funds to help buy things that were not offered from her plea for help on Roaring Fork Swap. In addition, in order for her to take advantage of all of the wonderful offers of furniture and clothes and to salvage what she has left, she needs to rent a storage space for her things until she finds a new place. No amount is too small and it all adds up so please consider helping Alison, her daughter Elise and their dog Raven get back on their feet.
