Dear friends, family, and community,

I never imagined being in this position, but life has thrown me a challenge I can’t handle alone. I lost my full-time job very unexpectedly in March 2023 and my part-time job in May 2023. As a single parent living in the Bay Area, I relied on both incomes (and a third coaching income) to get by. I’m now in a place where my savings have run out, and while I’m making a small monthly income through my coaching work, it’s a fraction of what I was making before being laid off. I’m struggling to pay for my essential expenses and I’m in urgent need of your support.

Over the last year and a half, I’ve looked for work consistently and have had several interviews but have yet to find a new role. I’ve put tremendous effort into growing my coaching business–pursuing new certifications, studying marketing strategies, and putting myself out there as much as possible with the limited resources I’ve had, but I haven’t been able to bring my income to a place where I can cover my expenses yet.

Asking for help of this magnitude is incredibly difficult and humbling, especially knowing how hard things are for many of us, but it’s become necessary. My health is suffering, I’m not sleeping well, and I’ve been constantly stressed about expenses and being able to take care of my son and myself. I can’t get by the way I have been any longer, so here I am, leaning on community in the way I hope you would in times of need.

I will use the funds raised to pay for rent, bills, food, medical/health expenses, school supplies, and other necessities for my son, our dog, and our home. Your support will help alleviate my immediate financial burden and carry me through this difficult period, giving me some much-needed breathing room to focus on my health and securing a stable income again.
