Help Alison pay for Surgery

Hi my name is Dominique David. I created this gofundme to help my best friend (sister from another mister) Alison Lehman pay for her surgery to repair her broken leg. Let me start by telling you her story.

On 11/5/2021 Alison was at a complete stop on her motorcycle at an intersection when a car hit her and fled the accident. That driver did not stop to see if she was injured or worse. Thankfully, Alison is alive, and the only injuries she sustained was a broken leg, bumps, and scrapes. She will need surgery to repair her broken leg and that’s where much needed help comes in.

Before this accident Alison worked as a Covid Crisis Contract Registered Nurse. She’s been on the frontline fighting Covid since the start of the Covid pandemic and has never wavered. Where ever there’s a need for nurses in El Paso, you’ll find Alison there caring for your loved ones. She’s a compassionate, hardworking nurse, who’s not afraid to advocate for her patient’s, and provide quality care to anyone she meets.

Unfortunately, with being a contract nurse your exempt from getting hospital provided benefits such as family medical leave of absence, paid time off, and health insurance. Alison will have to pay for the surgery out of her own pocket after finding out the facility where her surgery is scheduled does not accept her personal insurance. She has looked into all other options but they are not in her best interest. To make matters worse she will also have to take an additional 2 months off of work in order

to heal and recover after surgery.

This is a very trying time for her and her family. But, typical Ali finds a way to smile through her tears and her fears. That’s why I love this woman so much. I’m hoping that our community of friends, family, and fellow healthcare workers can help Alison get through this. The money donated will go directly towards the cost of the surgery and cost of living while Alison is out of work.
