This fundraiser is for one of the most beautiful women in the world, my best friend and family member, Alishia Fisher/Mc Lynne. Alishia was diagnosed with ALL - Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This was a shock to everyone! We are in the midst of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, medications, hospital stays, multiple doctors, ambulance transportation, supplies, and more. The roller coaster of fighting the insurance company, dealing with the hospital system, and trying to get a plan figured out for her has been one of sheer frustration and irritation, all while trying to put a long-term projection together for her care.

Unfortunately, the harsh reality is that Alishia does not have health insurance. She has never really needed it—until now. The treatment for Alishia has been halted twice by the hospital because she does not have insurance, and they actually were going to send her home because they chose not to treat her for that reason. We understand that the cost of the chemo drugs is high, but not treating someone who could have a chance of fighting this, simply for insurance reasons, makes us all doubt the medical field altogether. Alishia has applied for some grants to help with care, some of which we are still waiting on, but there is no guarantee at this point.

Alishia has been found to be positive with the Philadelphia Chromosome, which means the leukemia will never go away but can become manageable through chemotherapy, blood therapies, immunotherapy, and different medicine regimens for the rest of her life. We are asking for help towards paying Alishia's medical bills, hospital bills, platelet therapy, chemotherapy, and whatever may be needed for her new life. Alishia and her husband Ron have six children and two grandchildren, with more on the way, that she would like to see grow up and be in their lives as long as she possibly can, and we would like to help her achieve that!

Alishia is a FIGHTER and has a strong support system behind her to help when she needs it! We would not be asking if it was not needed! We would greatly appreciate any help that you could give! Your support means the world to us and will help give her the best chance at a longer, healthier life.
