My name is Mark Fricker, and I'm reaching out to ask for your support for Alisha Grewal and her family. Alisha, who is 14, and her father, my good friend Manjit, both have Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia Silver, a rare neurological condition.

For Alisha, this means she experiences deformities in her hands and feet, turning simple actions like walking, using a toilet, or opening a door with a key into significant struggles. Her father, Manjit, despite facing his own physical difficulties, has dedicated himself tirelessly to supporting Alisha.

Alisha is about to undergo three crucial leg operations. We're aiming to raise funds to complete the necessary ground-floor adaptations to their home, creating an accessible bedroom and shower for her. While the local authority has provided substantial funding for a portion of the conversion, the family still needs our help to finalise the project and return to their home from temporary accommodation.
