Battling cancer while staying safe and caring for my mom

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

I am reaching out once again, but now from a place of greater clarity and need. Your generosity has already helped me secure the MedaCube pill dispenser, for which I am deeply grateful. Thanks to your support and a grant from Easterseals, I now have the medication management solution that could literally save my life.

However, I am still facing significant challenges. In addition to my ongoing medical conditions, I’ve been recently diagnosed with stage 1A DCIS and stage 1A invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) breast cancer. I am determined to fight with all I have, but I still need help navigating these difficult times.

The Struggles with Moving

The move was a major challenge and remains a work in progress. A disagreement with the movers led to our belongings being dumped on the sidewalk, resulting in a multi-day ordeal that should have only taken hours. While I continue to unpack and organize, I am still feeling the physical and emotional toll.

My Ongoing Health Struggles

In addition to the cancer diagnosis, I live with several mental health conditions, which make navigating life even more difficult:

Bipolar I Disorder

PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder)

Panic Disorder with Agoraphobia

Severe Anxiety

Recurring Suicidal Ideation

I also suffer from a twice-surgically repaired herniated disc (L5-S1), which limits my ability to physically manage daily tasks, including lifting, carrying, and unpacking. These conditions create an overwhelming daily struggle, and I am doing my best to keep moving forward despite them.

Why I Need Your Support Now

I am now asking for support to help cover the remaining expenses needed to move forward:

Car repairs necessary for traveling to my cancer treatments.

Daily living expenses as I continue to manage both my health and my responsibilities as a full-time caregiver to my mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, dementia, and other chronic conditions.
