Alise Payne Recovery Fund

Donation protected

Alise Payne was in a tragic car accident on January 10th, 2021. While in the passenger seat, her vehicle was struck head on by a driver who entered the highway going the wrong direction.  Alise suffered compound fractures in both arms and both legs; 2 broken hips, broken nose, broken ribs, broken fingers, and broken heels. She has endured over 40 hours of surgery and remains in recovery at University of Utah hospital in Salt Lake City. She will be facing months of rehabilitation at a long term care facility on her road to recovery.

As many of you know, her long time boyfriend did not survive the accident.  Our deepest condolences go out to the Bostock family for their tragic loss. Daniel was an accomplished surgeon, loyal friend, and a hero in the eyes of so many people. It goes without saying; Alise loved him with all her heart.

We want Alise to feel the collective love and support from family and friends during her long road of recovery and healing.  We also want to help her get back on her feet and back to doing what she loves: helping people.

Before the accident Alise had 1 year remaining in her pre-med program at University of Utah. She is aspiring to become a Physician’s Assistant specializing in neurological disorders. This sweet message is from one of her co-workers at University of Utah Hospital:

“For those of you who may not be aware, Alise is the supervisor over a Lab within a flagship program for at the University of Utah Hospital. She and her team are involved in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with many different neurological disorders... Alise is exceptional at what she does, not just from a clinical standpoint, but as a strong leader in a large organization. I have seen the love that Alise has for her team through the shedding of tears for them. I’ve seen her advocate for them and serve them in many ways that they may never know. She has always done her remarkable work without any concern for personal recognition. Her team that she oversees has the highest level of adoration for her. She is a humble and loving leader that I look up to in so many ways. She is also an amazing patient advocate. ... Alise has a huge heart! I’m so grateful to be able to work with her and learn from her each day. I know she has the strength to pull through this. I also know how much she values her relationships, and I am so grateful that she has such a strong network of friends and family to help her through life’s challenges. God bless you Alise! We love you!”

We can’t think of someone more deserving of our support and love. Prayers, thoughts, and well wishes are all needed during this time. And for those that are able: please consider donating to this fund. All proceeds will go to Alise’s recovery process.
