Help Alisa Solem Fight Hodgkin's Lymphoma

I’ve been trying to put the right words together to help our close friend… our best friend! But, unfortunately, there are no “right” words. Alisa Solem is a daughter, sister, cousin, friend and most importantly, a mom to an incredible 2-year-old, but cancer does not discriminate, and it has chosen her.

On January 21st, Alisa was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. In early January, Alisa’s doctor scheduled an MRI to check out a lump on her breast. Later that day, the results showed that everything with her breast looked fine. However, her doctor called, letting her know that they incidentally found a large tumor on her chest. After visiting with an Oncologist, she then had a PET scan that confirmed it was cancer. Once they received confirmation, the appointments began to figure out the best plan to kick cancers ass. After a bone marrow biopsy, heart and lung test, and a meeting with a fertility specialist, Alisa received her port. On February 10th, Alisa had her first round of chemo. The plan is for her to have chemo treatments every two weeks for about two months. She will then have another PET scan to see how her tumor is responding and will move forward from there.
