Hi, my name is Alisa and this is my story... in February I got a rash that wouldn’t go away and wouldn’t quit itching. After months and months of biopsies, bloodwork and dr’s appointments, I was diagnosed with Lupus SLE, Sjogrens, Dermatomyositis & Small Fiber Neuropathy. I’ve lost a lot of hair, hence the reason I shaved my head. On the way to my first Rheumatologist appointment, I wrecked my car. The police officer was kind enough to take me to the appointment since I was crying about missing it (it takes months to get in). A month later I get my car back on a Friday. Monday while driving to work, the engine literally blows up (car filled with smoke, fireman everywhere). Mind you this car is brand new and I’d only made maybe 9 payments on it. While dealing with all that… someone shot my poor emotional support dog, punched him and pepper sprayed him. He should be dead but by the grace of God, he is still here. Unfortunately, I have accrued an abundance of medical bills that are putting me in debt. Between the tests, the infusions and all the meds that I am on, I am struggling to afford it.
