My grandfather is a fighter.

In 2015, he battled stomach cancer and won. However, as a result of the surgery and radiation therapy, his intestines suffered damages that led to complications 10 years later.

Last month, he had another major surgery to fix these complications, and has remained in the hospital ever since. He endured many obstacles in his healing process due to age and comorbidities, such as fluids leaking from his wounds and accumulating in the lungs. Despite this, he perseveres and fights to get better every day.

He also has COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), leaving him with higher levels of carbon dioxide than oxygen. This condition sent him to the ICU twice, both instances leading to a near-death experience.

I worry that at any moment, I may not get to see him again.

18 years ago, my grandfather quit smoking because I was born. Ever since then, he has been nothing but generous to me and our family -- showering us with his gifts and love. Today, it's my turn to repay his kindness.

Currently, his hospital bill has been piling up for over a month. The procedures and medicines are expensive, and we need all the help we can get. I want to help in raising funds for his recovery so our family can make more memories together.
