Hello everyone. My name is Brian Jones and my wife and I are reaching out for assistance in helping a kitto family in Clearwater, FL.
We trapped Ali's mom and sibling last Saturday morning. Noticing Ali laying next to the trap his mom was in, I could tell something was off so I made sure he was brought in as well. Come to find out, Ali had maybe 12 hours left to live. Being in critical condition, we headed to VEG (Amazing place!). Ali had to stay overnight due to being anemic, having a 93 temp and a much needed blood transfusion. He is making great strides with maintaining a temp of 100-102, has put on a half lb. and moving around a little bit more. But Ali still has a road to a full recovery. However, he will make it because he is a champ, a fighter!
Ali & His Family:
Ali's family is a colony in Clearwater. We are working on saving them all from the streets as their living conditions are not the best, and they will to survive out here. They have to fight traffic, one was already hit in the 7-11 parking lot and they have to fight the flies and ants just to eat in the afternoons / evenings. Let alone the big trucks and cranes to avoid in the lot they reside in. This just is not the place for a cat to live a healthy fun filled life.
Where we are now:
We have brought ALi in along with his mom and siblings. A total of 5. However, there are another 6-7 that need rescuing as well, which we will be getting off the streets when room allows.
We are not a rescue, and are doing our best to save this family. All rescues and shelters are full, so we have taken on this mission ourselves. We were not expecting bills to expand as they have, and we would be forever grateful for donations to help for medical expenses, treatments & medicines along with supplies, litter & food.
Donations would help us cover:
- Ali's overnight visit to VEG
- Ali's follow up appointments (2 more)
- Medical Exams performed on Ali & Jasper
- Medical Exams to be performed on Luna, Freyja and Nayana (Upcoming)
- Treatments & Medicines that will be needed
- Spay & Neutering the family
- Supplies, litter & food for the family. We also are going through food for the remaining family members still on the lot waiting to be saved
Thank you for reading our story about Ali and the Sunset Kitto Family! We know they are just as grateful as we are.
Kind Regards,
Brian
