Help Ali's family in Hatay Turkey

As some of you know for the last 18 months Ali Gokurt from Hatay in Turkey has lived with me as he studied English in Dublin. Ali has thrived here, is working in a hotel in Dublin and has developed good friendships and life in Dublin.

Ali's family, his Mum Nedeema, a widow, and sister and 96 year old Grandmother live together in Hatay in a home that Ali built based on saving hard during his time working on container ships. All of Ali's extended family live in Hatay within minutes of eachother.

While Ali's family home withstood the first earthquake his family have been forced to live in tents since then while they awaited offical all clear to go home. His Uncles hardware shop, which is central to the families financial wellbeing, was destroyed in first quake. However on the night of Feb 20th Ali's family home was severely damaged, possibly beyond repair, in the 6.4 level quake that struck Hatay again. The situation has become untenable. The family will have to leave Hatay and access the situation as regards can their home be salvaged.

I would like to fundraise to help the family with their immediate needs for rehousing and going forward if the family home is to be repaired although pictures would indicate that the structural damage is severe.

I hope to raise €2000 to at least get them over this initial stage but any money raised will be used to remove his family.
