Help Ali's Family Escape Gaza!

CALL TO ACTION!

Asalamualaikum everyone. My name is Madina Safi. I am trying to raise money to save my friend's family from the illegal occupation in Palestine, in hopes to reunite them.

Residing in Turkey, Ali has been separated from his family due to the ongoing plight in Palestine since 2023. My dear friend's family is trapped in Rafah. They are desperately trying to survive and evacuate through the Rafah-Egypt border, however they do not have the means.

At the beginning of the occupation, they felt safer as many of the threats from the IOF were located in Northern Gaza. No one knew how extreme the IOF's advance would be, nor did anyone expect this death and destruction. Forward to present day, Ali's family is surrounded in Rafah, as is everyone else who just wish to live another day.

Ali works full time as a café server to make ends meet and to support himself. After his shifts, he attends night school as a language learner to learn how to speak Turkish. Part of Ali's earnings used to go to his family to support them in Palestine. Being in a foreign nation as a refugee, Ali struggles in daily life as equitable services are not offered, and foreign asylum seekers are not very welcome in Turkey. This separation has taken a significant toll on his mental wellbeing, and he desperately asked for my help to collectively raise funds for his family's survival.

The amount of money that Egyptian officials accept to allow Ali's family to cross the border is approximately $5000 USD per person, and the price fluctuates daily. Ali needs help to raise money for his 3 sisters (25 year old Banan Matar, 23 year old Rozan Matar, 18 year old Joman Matar), 1 brother ( 14 year old Ibraheem Matar), and his parents (52 year old Hasan Matar and 50 year old Wafa Matar) to evacuate. Banan is medical analysis doctor whose life and work were interrupted due to the war. Rozan is a university student studying law and working as a UX/UI Designer, but currently she cannot do anything due to the demolition of universities and the weakness of the Internet. She lost her job. Juman is a high school student, but she will not be able to move to the university level due to the interruption of her education. Ibrahim is a middle school student who loves football very much. All his dreams have come to an end because of this war. Finally, Ali's father Hasan was a government employee while his mother, Wafa, took care of the house. Due to his father being a government employee this puts them at an even higher risk of danger.

This genocide has gone beyond far and we cannot afford to lose any more loved ones. I can't imagine the survivor's guilt that Ali feels, the fear that his family feels in Rafah, and the heartbreak he endures having to live separately. I would like to raise enough money to help my friend's family. Gaza has nothing left but rubble and blood scattered in every corner. This cause is very important to me as all these innocent people have absolutely no way of seeking protection for themselves. The number of displaced families are skyrocketing everyday. They have no access to food, water, shelter, or electricity. With your donations, this money will be used for my friend's family to obtain a visa and leave this atrocity.
