Help Aline move and walk again!

Family and friends,

I’m reaching out to you today because my sister, Aline Camus, is in dire need of your help. Her

story started with the typical aches and pains of getting out of bed in the morning. Within days,

she was not able to hold her newly born granddaughter in her trembling arms. No one knew why!

Now, she’s completely bedridden and in constant pain as she battles Guillain-Barre syndrome,

an autoimmune disorder that has ravaged her nervous system. Her (60th) birthday was on December

14th, and she spent it in a hospital bed, unable to move, and feed herself.

Aline is a hard and efficient worker; a single grandmother who moved to this country to be close to her

family. Ever since the November morning when she first started experiencing symptoms, she

has been to the ER three times. She was misdiagnosed the first two times with sciatica and sent

home with a prescription that, unfortunately, only made her condition worse.

By her third hospital visit, Aline had lost most of the function of her limbs and facial paralysis started showing but was finally diagnosed with GBS and the proper treatment started. She is now sitting in a hospital bed, the bills racking up for her. She has no medical insurance and her work is

contract-based, meaning the longer she is debilitated, the longer she goes without pay.

This is our appeal to you: I’ve created this gofundme page because Aline needs our help to get

back on her feet, literally and figuratively. We’re not asking anyone to cover all of her upcoming

expenses—but we’re asking for your help to cover her rent for this month and next, the bills for her hospital

visits, and the immediate cost of physical therapy necessary for her to regain function of her

limbs and start working again. It’s a big ask, but every small donation adds up.

Unfortunately, we cannot manage as a family -only two siblings and elderly (85's parents). We hold out hope for a full recovery for Aline but right now, by the grace of God and your generosity, these next few weeks are crucial. Aline needs any support you can give, prayers are also welcome!
