Update: 02/13/2026

We wanted to share a new update about Aline and thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all the love, prayers, and support.

Aline was approved to receive the chemotherapy she needs for her survival, called ENHERTU. This was a huge victory and only possible because of the donations that helped us fight for this treatment.

Sadly, around the same time, Aline developed a serious infection in her left arm and hand. She was taking oral antibiotics for a few days, but the infection did not improve. She had very high fevers for three days, and this past Monday, February 9, she had to be taken to the hospital.

Because of how severe the infection was, Aline now needs to stay in the hospital for about seven days to receive strong antibiotics directly into her bloodstream. This is to stop the infection from spreading to her blood.

She is still in a lot of pain. Even with morphine, her body and left arm continue to hurt badly. At one point, her left arm and hand started turning very dark, which worried the doctors because it could mean necrosis (tissue damage). They began running more tests to decide what needed to be done.

Thankfully, yesterday, February 12, her arm started to look lighter and less dark, which gives us hope that the antibiotics are working. She remains in the hospital and is being closely monitored.

Because of this infection, Aline cannot start the new chemotherapy yet. Starting chemo while her body is fighting a serious infection is very dangerous. This delay is extremely hard because she urgently needs the treatment to help kill the cancer cells.

While we are thankful for everyone who has donated so far, Aline still needs help to cover all the hospital and treatment expenses. Every share, donation, and prayer truly makes a difference.

Please continue sharing this link so we can reach more people and keep supporting Aline during this very difficult time.

Thank you so much for your kindness and support

Update: 01/29/2026: We wanted to share an update on Aline and thank everyone for the continued love and support.

Aline is currently experiencing a lot of pain in her left arm. Unfortunately, a sore that developed on the top of her left hand became infected, which has caused significant pain, swelling, and fever. She is receiving care and being closely monitored, but this has been very difficult for her physically and emotionally.

We do have very important and hopeful news to share. Thanks to the donations received so far, we were able to pay for a lawyer, and because of that support, Aline won the request to receive the chemotherapy she urgently needed. Her first chemotherapy treatment is scheduled for 02/09. We are incredibly grateful, as this treatment is critical for her survival.

Although this is a huge step forward, Aline still has many ongoing medical and living expenses related to her condition, treatment, and recovery.

Aline is deeply thankful for every donation, message, prayer, and share. Your kindness has already made a life-changing impact, and your continued support means more than words can express.

Update: 01/27/2026: I wanted to share a small update about my sister. She is still taking the old chemotherapy and is still going through the process of starting the new chemotherapy she needs. The chemo she is taking now only helps stop the cancer cells from growing, but it does not treat the cancer directly. The last few days have been very hard for her. She is in a lot of pain, especially in her muscles, and her left arm hurts a lot and is very swollen. Some days are harder than others. She is taking pain medication, but it is not strong enough to fully take the pain away. She has to change the bandages on her sores every day, and that process is very painful. Her left arm now has an infection, and the sores are not healing. Most of the time, days are very long because the pain does not go away. We are taking things one day at a time and asking for continued prayers and strength.

Know more about Aline:

My name is Aline, and today I come here with an open heart to ask for help.

In May 2023, I was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer, and in August 2023, I began treatment. Since then, my life has completely changed. I have already gone through chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, and surgery (mastectomy). It has been an extremely difficult journey, filled with pain, fear, and daily challenges.

Even so, I am a strong person. Despite everything I am going through, I still try to put a smile on my face. But the truth is that many days I cannot do much. I spend most of my day lying down, because my left arm is extremely swollen due to lymphedema, and there is a possibility that this condition may affect the other arm as well.

I was always the person who took care of everyone. Today, I am the one who needs to be cared for.

At this moment, I urgently need to start a chemotherapy treatment called ENHERTU, which is essential for my survival. Unfortunately, in Brazil, although healthcare can be free, treatments like mine can become extremely expensive, and this medication is not provided by the public health system (SUS).

Because of this, I am currently involving lawyers and fighting in court to try to receive this medication for free. The lawyer’s fee to start this legal process is R$10,000.00, which is a very high amount for us. If the government does not approve this treatment, the total cost of the medication could reach around R$1,000,000.00, something I could never afford on my own.

In addition to this, I have monthly expenses including:

pain medications
proper nutrition
physical therapy
psychological therapy
transportation (Uber)
Therapy
Rent
Utilities
and more.

At the moment, I depend only on my husband to help cover all these expenses, which has been emotionally and financially overwhelming.

I currently rely on Uber for transportation because my car is broken. The repair costs around R$3,000.00, but we are unable to fix it due to the many treatment and household expenses.

I have always had a dream of helping people heal and have been going through cancer treatment, I was still able to finish college, graduate, and start working as a therapist. My dream has always been to open my own therapy clinic and help people heal their hearts.

Even on days when it is hard to get out of bed, I still go and do what I love. I love people, and I love helping others heal, even while I am struggling myself.

My sister Sarah, who lives in the United States, helped me understand that sometimes it is okay to ask for help. She is helping me build this fundraiser with so much love and care.

If you feel in your heart that you can help, please know that any amount makes a difference. In Brazil, R$10,000.00 is a lot of money, and your support can help cover the legal costs and also help me live with a bit more comfort during this very difficult time.

All donations will be used responsibly for:

lawyer fees to fight for access to chemotherapy
medications
food and nutrition
transportation to treatments and appointments
consultations and therapies

If you cannot donate, sharing this campaign already means so much.

I truly believe that with faith, support, and kindness, I will be able to continue this fight.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for any help you can give.
