Help Aline enroll in job training.

Aline Dakouo is a friend and co-worker from my buildOn days. Many of my Facebook friends love and care for Aline and will be sad to learn she’s experiencing hard times. For those who don’t know, Aline is a 40 year old single mother with a 5 year old daughter and niece under her charge. Since 2017 Aline has struggled to find employment (despite being multilingual and one of the most talented, hard working women I know).

Being unemployed has caused great hardship. Aline describes sleeping with fear of not knowing how she will pay her rent or care for her family in case of sickness. Recently her niece experienced heart problems, but Aline couldn’t afford to take her to hospital. She tried traditional medicine, but wishes she could do more. These past few years Aline was not able to enroll her daughter in a good school because she couldn’t afford the fees.

Aline and I worked together (with many of you) constructing schools in Mali. It hurts to know Aline is struggling to afford a good school for her own daughter, when she helped so many others access education.

Aline asked me to start this gofundme to help raise money for job training. She would like to take a 6 month course in administrative and financial management. She says this training will increase her chances to get a good and stable job. In this program she will learn accounting, communication, work organization, leadership, and tracking files and information. With this training she could be hired as a program manager, program assistant, or Human Resources manager. $2000 would cover her tuition and an additional $200 would cover her books.
