Hello, my name is Alicia. As some of you know, I had surgery last December to remove my thyroid due to a diagnosis of thyroid cancer. During surgery, the surgeon found that the small tumor had attached to a nerve behind my trachea, and since there is no way to see behind the trachea, not everything got out from surgery. My numbers still weren't down in May 2025, so the next step is radioactive iodine therapy. I started my RAI therapy on October 16th, I go in for a PET scan tomorrow and had to miss work with no pay due to having to be isolated. For those who know me, I don't like to ask for help; I would rather figure it out myself, but I do need help to be able to pay my rent and bills and possibly some groceries, so I'm reaching out and asking for help. Anything helps, even just sharing this, I appreciate it.
