My daughter, Alicia Sparkman had her box truck/home stolen at the Aurora, Colorado airport 4 days ago. Her life has been turned upside down. She bought the truck about 2 months ago and has been putting all of her time, love and money into making a home for herself during a time of transition. The truck is affectionately known as "Buttercup".

Upon arrival in Colorado from a trip to Minnesota visiting family and friends, Alicia was faced with a shocking reality that Buttercup had been stolen. This was her home.

At this point, Alicia will need to start over with finding a place to live and restocking necessary furnishings. The thieves took Buttercup and her belongings and she is now struggling with the insurance company who considered Buttercup as a vehicle and not a home.

Alicia is such a kind, thoughtful and loving person. She has a high trust level of people and sees the goodness in everyone. I actually call her a friend of the universe. We are all in shock that someone would take from her because of who she is. Living the van life forced Alicia to scale back to the bare minimums. She would express the need to surround herself with everything that was precious to her. Not only did she lose her home; she also lost so many of the treasures she collected in her travels and adventures.
