Hi! My name is Alicia! I'm so excited to share that I’ve been accepted into the CIEE Language & Culture program in Seoul, South Korea this summer! I worked incredibly hard on my application and I am so grateful and lucky to have received a Global Navigator scholarship that covers half of the program cost. Now, I’m reaching out for support to help make the rest of this dream possible.

The scholarship I earned covers $3,775 of the tuition, but I still need the other half of the money to fully be able to afford the program. Additionally, round-trip airfare is around $2,000. Any kind of donation, whether it's $5 or $900, will help to bring me just one step closer to studying in Seoul and reaching my goal!!

While I am studying in Seoul, I will be earning college credit and studying Korean in an immersive classroom and cultural environment. I'm so close to finishing the Duolingo course for Korean! So, this experience would allow me to take my language skills into the real world by having conversations, navigating daily life, and truly understanding the culture.

Learning about other cultures has always been something I’m passionate about. I believe travel has the power to broaden perspectives, build empathy, and help us grow into thoughtful, globally minded leaders. Studying abroad in Seoul would not only be an unforgettable experience, but a meaningful step in my academic and personal journey. This is also what I based my essays around. I love traveling and I find it fascinating to see how other people live around the world.
