Help Alicia Perez Return Home and Continue Her Education

My name is Alicia Perez, and I’m currently a international student at Fairmont State University . I'm reaching out because I need your support to overcome a financial challenge that stands between me and my future.

As a first-generation college student, attending Fairmont State has been an incredible opportunity, but also a financial burden. Despite being a D2 student athlete and working different jobs, the cost of tuition, books, and daily expenses have made it difficult to keep up. I am doing my best to stay on track academically, but the financial stress is something I can’t ignore.

In addition to tuition, one of my biggest concerns is being able to travel back home for the summer. Being away from my family is already hard, it’s especially tough not being able to see my loved ones after a long year of hard work. I’m doing everything I can to make this happen, but it’s clear that I need help.

This summer, returning home will not only provide me with much-needed rest and time with family, but it will also allow me to reconnect with the roots that keep me grounded and motivated to succeed in my studies. However, without financial assistance, I am unsure how I will be able to afford both the travel and the tuition for the coming semester.
