Hello, my name is Tina Waters, and I am creating this account for my dear friend, Alicia Myers. I have known and been friends with Alicia and her husband, Clayton, for over 20 years. At this time, they are facing a substantial financial hardship as Alicia goes on Dec. 1st to Mission Hospital for a heart catheterization. On Dec. 2nd, she will undergo open-heart surgery to replace her aortic valve. Once they are inside and able to assess the situation, they may also replace the mitral valve as well.

Alicia's husband, Clayton, is also disabled with major heart issues and is awaiting vascular surgery himself. As Alicia is the only one working, she will get a short-term disability at only 60% of her normal pay starting several weeks after surgery. The short-term disability will not sustain them, as Alicia will also be responsible for paying her $70.00 a week insurance premium out of that 60% short-term disability, as well as they take taxes out of it as well.

Alicia and Clayton are good people, the kind of folks that will be first to step up to help anyone even when struggling themselves.

I understand everyone is facing something of some sort in their lives, but any amount is appreciated.
