Two days after Hurricane Helene hit our area, knocking out cell, internet, electric, and water services, the ladies who were seeking recovery from substance use at my sober living home, Sunny Skye Recovery, fled the area. They have not returned.

Unfortunately, rent and bills are still due, and without residents, I am unable to pay.

My name is Alicia. I started these sober living homes in 2019 and 2020 to help women in recovery gain solid ground in their recovery journeys. This is the first time I haven’t been financially able to support my business.

I’m asking for your kindness and support to help me keep our doors open and continue offering a safe space for women to recover here in Asheville, NC.
