Dear friends, colleagues, and compassionate hearts,
I’m writing to ask for your support for someone who has dedicated her life to helping others heal — Alicia, our dear friend, is a caring and passionate mental health professional who is now facing a medical journey of her own.
Alicia was diagnosed with a noncancerous brain tumor in 2022. She and her team of doctors have been “waiting and watching” over these past several years. While the tumor is not malignant, it is pressing on critical areas of her brain. Alicia will undergo upcoming surgery in Houston, as early as September 4, to prevent further complications and growth. The procedure is complex, and the road to recovery will involve rest, follow-up treatment and rehabilitation before she can return home.
Anyone who knows Alicia knows her heart. She’s spent years supporting individuals and families through their hardest seasons, offering hope, care, and strength. While Alicia has always been strong, independent, and someone who shows up for others, she now needs our help.
Unfortunately, the financial strain of this situation is immense. Between the hospital expenses, travel to a specialized medical center, time away from work, ongoing therapy, and basic living costs during recovery… the burden is more than one person should have to bear alone.
That’s why we’ve created this GoFundMe — to raise $50,000 and give Alicia the freedom to focus entirely on healing, not bills.
If you’re able, please consider donating. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference. And if you can’t give right now, simply sharing this campaign with your network would mean the world.
With gratitude,
Erin and Jenny
