Over the past several months, our household has gone from two incomes down to one. My husband is still working, but with a recent shift change, he lost about 10 hours of overtime each week. Between that and everything I was previously covering, we’re struggling to keep up with basic bills. At the same time, my health has taken a turn. I’m dealing with multiple hernias, and the pain has become constant. It wakes me up at night and affects just about everything I try to do during the day. I’ve been trying to push through and do Instacart to help where I can, but it’s actually making things worse physically. I’m at a point where I really shouldn’t be doing it—but I also don’t have many other options right now. I had surgery scheduled, but I had to cancel because I couldn’t cover the coinsurance upfront. With everything else going on financially, we just didn’t have a way to make it happen.

Funds raised will help me cover the cost of surgery and any additional medical expenses related to the procedure, such as anesthesia and recovery costs. This support will allow me to get out of constant pain and return to serving my family, church, and community. I don’t want to give up serving where I can at church and in the community, and right now I’m limited in ways that are really hard for me.

This isn’t easy to say, but I need help getting this surgery done so I can get back to functioning normally again.
