Greetings, Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays,
We are friends of Michelle Blair (Natasha Green & Jeni Thomas) and we are coming to you today to ask for your help. Michelle's beautiful daughter, 26 years of age Alicia Garcia is currently fighting a furious health battle with Anorexia Nervousa. On Saturday, December 19, 2020, she went into cardiac arrest. This has left Alicia in a medically induced coma, breathing on a ventilator, and in need of a liver transplant followed with a long road of rehabilitation treatments. Although Alicia was able to briefly open her eyes, she was very agitated when the nurses/doctors tried waking her up from the coma. Therefore, more sedation was required for further healing.
Words can not describe how difficult this has been for Michelle in the midst of a pandemic crisis and not able to be at Alicia's bedside due to COVID-19. To stay awake hours of the day and night, worrying about her precious daughter, anticipating calls from the doctors and nurses on what is happening. This has caused an immense financial and emotional strain on Michelle as a single mother who has been impacted with a job loss from COVID-19 with no medical insurance. For those that know Michelle, she is a beautiful, humble, Christian woman, who does NOT want to ask for help, let alone comfortable in asking for monetary contributions. With a heaviness and tugging on my heart from the Lord, I, Natasha Green wanted to do as much as possible to help afar for Michelle. While her daughter has a tough battle to fight on this journey and beat this deadly illness, the unimaginable expense and rehabilitation treatment is a lot to bear. With your help, Alicia will be able to complete all stages of recovery which is necessary due to the length and history of anorexia. With help, she will have the chance to live a happy and healthy life.
All donations will fund Alicia's liver transplant, continuing medical, psychological and rehabilitation treatments. Anyone who has had an eating disorder, or watched someone suffer from an eating disorder, knows how brutally painful it is emotionally, physically, mentally and financially (most insurance companies don't cover extensive treatment of eating disorders).
