Alicias Fight Against Breast Cancer

On October 19th, 2021 Alicia was diagnosed with aggressive IBC (Inflammatory Breast Cancer) stage III possibly IV. Definitely not something a 28 year old mother wants to hear. She is scheduled for a PET scan on Wednesday which will give us a better understanding of if this aggressive cancer has spread anywhere else. She also will be getting a port placed on Thursday and will start chemotherapy on Friday. Surgery is not an option at this time due to the mass being so large with a 46% growth rate. We are unsure of how much and what insurance will cover. This journey has just began and her oncologist is already battling with her insurance due to the fact that her insurance does not want to cover her PET Scan. She will miss a good amount of work during her treatments.
