Hi, I’m Alicia and I’m trying to fundraise for a “tiny home” for me and my 2 cats. I’m looking to buy a converted bus, RV, camper, or something of the like so I can leave my highly destructive living situation that I also cannot afford. I have a steady job, but my rent and bills take up more than 80% of my income, making it impossible to save for a better living situation. I have far too much debt to qualify for a “luxury” vehicle loan that would cover what I’m looking for. I have tried several. For the past year I’ve been living in an apartment, racking up considerably more debt just to keep a roof over my head. In addition, and more to the point—my immediate neighbors have caused me a great deal of agony by way of constant noise, domestic violence, harassment, and incredible loss of sleep. I suffer from CPTSD, a sleep disorder, and several other mental disorders, and it would be a gross understatement to say this has negatively impacted my health. I’m trying to create a better situation for myself, and I’m asking for support to get started with that. My goal of $8,000 would allow me to buy at least a moderately comfortable “tiny home” outright, as the first step to a safer and more cost-effective living space for me.
