Hello,

My name is Alicia. I was just recently fired from my job of 8 years in March 2026. I never thought I would be let go. It was stupid on my part. I feel horrible even doing this GoFundMe. I'm not one to really ask for help. But my husband and I are screwed.

I have to have surgery in two weeks on the 23rd of January for a partial knee replacement on my right knee, and they are wanting me off for up to 12 weeks. After I've healed from that, they are wanting to do the other knee. But I can't even really think about that right now. We are 7 days past due on our rent and struggling to keep other bills paid. We have our kids usually every other weekend, and it's a struggle to make sure we have enough groceries for them. My husband is already working OT, and he is exhausted.

I've applied for jobs and have had 1 interview and two more lined up. I'm hoping to get my foot in the door in hopes to have a job once I'm recovered from my surgery. I understand if you don't want to donate or you can't because of your life situations. But I do have short-term disability, but it takes a bit to kick in once I'm off. So hopefully, we can get over the bump in the road with some help from others who can donate. Again, thank you for your time. God bless you all that can help. And those who cannot.
