Alice, a sweet and loving mother and grandmother from Fruithurst, Alabama, has always been the one to take care of everyone else. She’s the kind of woman who would give you her last dollar, her last meal, or the shirt off her back if you needed it. But today, Alice needs our help.

On July 25, 2025, Alice was bitten by a brown recluse spider on her abdomen. At first, she thought it was just a small bite. But within days, it turned into something terrifying. Despite doctor visits and treatment, the infection spread, and on August 4th, she was rushed into emergency surgery. Doctors had no choice but to remove a large amount of tissue, leaving her with a wound measuring 9cm by 7cm and nearly 4 inches deep.

Alice has been left in constant pain, and her healing journey is long and difficult. Every single day, her bandages must be changed, and each dressing costs around $12. That may not sound like much to some, but when you’re fighting to survive, it adds up fast.

Her daughter has been by her side every step of the way, caring for her around the clock. But because of this, she’s had to miss so much work, and now they are falling behind on bills with no relief in sight.

Alice is one of the most selfless people you could ever meet, and it breaks our hearts to see her in this position. She has always carried others through hard times, and now she needs us to carry her.
